"Artificial Spin Ice: From Phase Transitions to Computation"

Who: Nami Leo, Nanomagnetism group

Place: nanoGUNE seminar room, Tolosa Hiribidea 76, Donostia - San Sebastian

Date: Monday, 3 December 2018, 11:00

Lattices built from magnetostatically-interacting nanomagnets can be used as model systems to study emergent correlations in artificial spin ices as well as to employed for thermally-assisted computation schemes. In this talk, I will give an introduction on how to design, manufacture, and measure artificial spin systems, and will present plans on how to implement thermoplasmonic heating schemes for nanomagnetic logic.
